Minimum Entry Requirements

▶ Be at least 21 years of age
▶ Hold at least a CPL issued under Regulation 59 of MCAR
▶Have completed a minimum of 200 flight hours on aeroplanes, including 150 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC)

▶ Hold or have held an Instrument Rating (IR) for aero planes.
▶ Provide proof of competency by delivering a test mass brief based on your own developed material

▶ Demonstrate airborne instructional competency (assessed by the Head of Training, Chief Flight Instructor, or a designated Flight Instructor)

To begin your journey toward becoming a licensed pilot in Malaysia, you’ll need to register and apply through the CAAM e-Licensing Portal.

This official platform, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), is where students submit key applications such as the CAAM Approval Letter — a requirement before starting flight training.
